A hydrogeological survey is the single highest-return step in any borehole project. It costs a fraction of drilling and it is the difference between a productive well and an expensive dry hole.
Our team begins in the office, reviewing geological maps, existing borehole completion records nearby, and aerial imagery for lineaments that suggest fracturing. That desk study narrows a property down to two or three candidate points.
On site we run vertical electrical soundings, injecting current into the ground through electrode arrays and measuring resistivity at increasing depths. Water-bearing fractures show up as low-resistivity anomalies within otherwise resistive basement rock.
The output is a report recommending a drill point, expected water strike depths, a target total depth, and a casing design. That report is also what the Water Resources Authority wants to see when you apply for drilling authorisation.
